Turkish shipbuilders deliver their products to 72 countries
The volume of Turkish shipbuilding exports in February 2022 showed a record growth rate (by 388.1 per cent) compared to the same period of 2021 (14 million 436 thousand) and reached $70 million 467 thousand.
The Turkish Exporters’ Assembly (TIM) told Anadolu Agency that Türkiye’s exports as a whole rose by 25.4 per cent in February this year compared to the same period in 2021, to $20 billion 2.6 million. The shipbuilding sector accounted for about 0.4 per cent of the country’s exports.
According to Caliber, products of the shipbuilding sector were exported from 18 Turkish provinces in February this year.
Türkiye supplied ships, yachts and marine equipment to 72 countries. The leading importer of the Turkish shipbuilding sector is Gibraltar – 19 million 470 thousand dollars. It is followed by Norway with USD 12.672 million, the United States with USD 7.76 million and Kuwait with USD 6.804 million.
